This is a segment dominated by Toyota Fortuner in India. Does Kia have anything to beat the Fortuner? Does the Toyota Fortuner price Philippines will change? Technically, he has two cars – the Telluride and the Mohave. The Telluride is a modern SUV based on a unibody platform and the Mohave is a sturdier SUV based on a ladder chassis. We think the Mohave could be a better competitor to the Fortuner, based on the ladder structure on its chassis.
Design Kia Fortuner
Mohave comes with a large muscular design. Its boxy design bears a certain resemblance to the Cadillac Escalade. Although the Mohave has a strong vibe, it also has a modern look with Kia’s “Tiger Nose” grille. We also see a sculpted hood and LED headlights. On the side, we have a clean look with curves on the wheel arches. What about the back side? The rear end looks modern with integrated taillights and the Mohave nameplate engraved in the center.
What is his size? Mohave is with the length of 4930mm, the width of 1920mm, and the tall of 1790mm. It sits on a 2895mm wheelbase with 20-inch alloy wheels, giving it a gangster look. In terms of size, it’s obviously bigger than the Fortuner. The Mohave is available in five- and seven-seat options.
In terms of engine options, the Mohave comes with a 3.0-liter V6 diesel engine. This engine produces 253 hp and 560 Nm of torque. So will Kia bring this setup to India? We doubt that. Kia could offer it another engine instead. Do you think the Carnival’s 2.2-litre diesel could be a perfect fit, given that it makes 197PS and 440Nm of torque? Let us know in the comments section.
Kia Fortuner Competition – Features
Kia has made a name for itself by offering a ton of features in its cars, and it’s no different in Mohave. Although the Mohave is a rough terrain vehicle, it is still equipped with many modern features such as a 15-speaker audio system, 12.3-inch infotainment system, electronic parking brake, multiple driving modes. and head-up display. With these characteristics, surely Mohave can confront the Fortuner.
Will he go to India?
Kia has yet to confirm anything regarding the introduction of the Mohave in India. Kia only sells the Mohave in developed markets. However, as Kia expands into the domestic market, it will need products like the Mohave to maintain its momentum. The Mohave has a lot to do with the Fortuner, but for it to be competitive, Kia will need to properly fix it. What is the ideal price for Mohave? The ideal price can be around Rs 40 lakh to Rs 50 lakh (at the showroom).
