The Department of Transportation’s Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) program has added an evaluation to its certification process in response to the FMCSA SAP Program. The DOT SAP Certification now requires an additional evaluation for all certified professionals. The new evaluation is called the SAP Assessment and it’s a short online questionnaire designed to determine the likelihood that a person might have alcohol or drug problems that could lead to unsafe behavior while driving.
