Car Electrification shows up in the public as a focus in the stage

If there’s one thing to look forward to in PIMS, it’s the growing presence of electrified vehicles. These are vehicles that use either a petrol-electric hybrid system or an all-electric system to power the vehicle. Here are some interesting electric car models you can see at the auto show.

BMW iX

BMW Philippines will present a product line that will not only inspire people to experience the thrill of driving, but also showcase the iconic BMW iX – representing all that BMW is and will be in its design. Design, performance and desirable automotive capabilities of the range.

Electric vehicles are gaining ground in the Philippines as a permanent solution to sustainable mobility. We at BMW have known this for a long time. Spencer Yu, president of SMC Asia Car Distribution Corp, said that now that the BMW iX is available in the Philippines, the market can expect more electrification from BMW in the Philippines.

They’re not just looking to a greener future. As part of the San Miguel Group, they are also prioritizing electric vehicle education and getting the infrastructure in place to ensure we create a good foundation for what lies ahead,” he added.

Chery Tiggo 8 PRO PHEV

Chery Auto will have Tiggo 8 PRO PHEV. This unique combination is part of the brand’s commitment to delivering value to customers, but also more luxurious, fuel-efficient performance and technology in a crossover. The Tiggo 8 PRO PHEV is a plug-in hybrid device. This allows you to charge your car at home and use all its electric power for the first two kilometers of your journey. By including a gasoline engine and a plug, it combines the best elements of hybrid and all-electric automobiles.

Hyundai Ioniq 5

Hyundai will bring its electric crossover Ioniq 5. The 2022 World Car of the Year (CUV) Crossover Utility vehicle will arrive in the country in January 2023. For now, however, visitors will be able to view the prized vehicle on the shores of the country.

Kia EV6

The focus of the Kia stand is the EV6. It is an award-winning electric vehicle that will be launched globally in 2021. For the first time, Filipinos will be able to experience what makes this marvel of automotive engineering so special. The EV6 has been awarded the 2022 European Car of the Year.

The EV6 is powered by a battery pack and has a range of up to 520km. Several variants are available with outputs ranging from 168 hp up to 577 hp. In addition to the car itself, Kia also showed off the charging ecosystem for his EV6 electric vehicle, showing it’s full of surprises and much more than just a car.

Kia Motors has yet to release official details about the EV6 or whether it will be offered locally.

Still, it would be interesting to see an all-electric vehicle from the brand, and you may also be interested in knowing how visitors react. Nissan kicks e-POWER

Nissan has long promoted electrification technology.

This year, LEAF joins its latest model, the brand new Kicks e-POWER. It offers instant performance, outstanding fuel efficiency and quiet, relaxed driving. Kicks offers an EV-like driving experience without the range anxiety associated with all-electric vehicles.

This is ensured by a 1.2-liter 3-cylinder engine that charges the battery as needed. This powers the electric motors that power the front wheels of the Kicks, delivering the instant torque and acceleration that electric vehicles are known for. Similar to electric vehicles, they can also provide quieter propulsion and recover energy from systems such as regenerative braking.

Toyota hybrid

As the country’s leading provider of electric mobility, Toyota Motor Philippines will showcase a wide range of hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) as part of its commitment to sustainability and carbon neutrality. Experience the beauty of sustainable driving with test drive units of Toyota hybrid vehicles such as Camry, Corolla Altis, Corolla Cross and RAV4. These are his four unique hybrid models under one brand, offering customers different ways to meet their mobility needs while protecting the environment.
